This Neolithic Cromlech is near Criccieth in Gwynedd, Wales. It’s pretty easy to access, with a public footpath leading to the field just a short distance from the village of Rhoslan.

The following is quoted from Arch. Camb Vol.(XV 1869 p. 137):
This Cromlech lies in a field on the farm called Cefn Isaf, about two and a half miles north-east of Criccieth. The capstone is twelve feet long, and averages about seven feet wide at the top, and is one foot thick at the northern side, and three and a half feet at the southern side. It rests on four supports; the two supports that are on the southern side are of the following dimensions:- the largest is a slab nine and a half feet long, lying edgewise, and is three and a half feet high, and the other one is four feet high by two feet wide. The two that are on the northern side measure as follows:- one is three feet and a half high by two fee wide, and the other is three feet high by two feet wide.

This is an interesting monument, and a perfect shelter for a picnic stop.. Unfortunately, there is a significant crack in one of the upright supporting stones.
Our attempt at recreating this photograph we found from the 1950s..

The following photographs were taken in 1900, from ‘A Portfolio of Cromlechs in Anglesey and Caernarvonshire’ by J.E.Griffith:

On the Coflein website, there are several photographs of the site dated 1921 – Here is the link to see the whole collection – https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/95268/images –
